How can I help?

Our beautiful cathedral does not receive any grants from the Government.  On a point of principle, the cathedral is open to all our visitors, with no entrance charge, so the day-to-day costs and the continuing programme of the repair and renewal of our important building is aided by personal donations, which are a vital and essential source of support.

We are entering an exciting new phase and The Fratry Project will be the most significant development at Carlisle Cathedral in living memory. It aims to realise the Cathedral’s vision to be a place of discovery, celebration and challenge.  We have raised £3 million towards the cost of the Fratry Project.  Can you help us raise the final £100,000?  Visit our Fratry Project page for further details.

Your support is a vital contribution to the life and development of the Cathedral. Thank you.
