A dedicated team of voluntary guides and welcomers are on hand to help you at most times from Monday to Saturday. Guides are available to answer any of your queries, and can tailor their talk to suit your area of special interest, or can give you a general overview if you prefer. All of these volunteers give their time freely, and no charge is made for their services. They perform their duties because they want you to make the most of your visit, and hopefully enjoy the Cathedral as much as they do!
Information leaflets for all visitors can be found at the Welcomers Desk, situated in the entrance area. In addition to leaflets in English, we also have leaflets available in the following languages: Dutch, French, German, Japanese, Polish, Russian & Spanish.
We can organise tours for groups who wish to visit the Cathedral at pre-arranged times. If this is something of interest to you, please contact Wendy Murrell on 01228 548071 or email@example.com. Because of the many and varied demands on the space here any group who wishes to visit must pre-book to ensure that they will be able to have access to those areas of particular interest to them.
Please note that there are no guides on duty on Sundays, although members of congregation who are guides are often on hand to help out.
We are looking for volunteers to train as both Welcomers and Guides. If you have a few hours a week please contact Wendy Murrell – firstname.lastname@example.org
