General Information

The Cathedral is open daily 7.30am to 6.15pm hours Monday to Saturday and 7.30am to 5.00pm hours on Sunday. Volunteer guides are on hand to assist visitors.

Disabled Parking

Wheelchair access is available to the Cathedral. There is parking for the disabled inside the entrance to the cathedral grounds and an accessible toilet within the grounds.

Cathedral Locality

The Cathedral is situated in Castle Street in the centre of Carlisle.
The Cathedral is sign-posted on all routes, just head towards the city centre.
Parking is sign-posted and is available in the area of the Cathedral in the Damside, Viaduct and Devonshire Walk car parks.
Disabled parking is available in the Cathedral grounds and The Lanes Shopping Centre.

By Rail and Bus

Carlisle on the main West coast line, the main railway station is within ten minutes walk and the central bus station is five minutes from the Cathedral.
