A Discussion Day at Carlisle Cathedral with John Sentamu, Archbishop of York

Details

Saturday 10 March 2018

10.30am – 3.30pm

The next ten years will be an era of upheaval and change for rural Cumbria. Over the last millennia our stunning natural beauty and iconic landscapes have been shaped by family farms and rural businesses. Come and discuss how our farms, food businesses, rural communities and the environment can flourish and be vibrant as we face the opportunities and challenges of change.

The day will start with two inspiring speakers: Caz Graham, rural broadcaster and writer and John Sentamu, Archbishop of York, followed by a time for questions.

After lunch, join one of the group sessions led by Sarah Dunning (The Westmorland Family) Will Cockbain (Hill Farmer) Richard Leafe (Lake District National Park) and Sandra Booth (University of Cumbria). The day is chaired by Richard Inglewood.

Tickets: £10.00 including refreshments
